Frequently asked questions
Quick answers to the most common questions about our house cleaning service in Pittsburgh.
How often should I schedule a cleaning?
We offer weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly services. The frequency is completely your decision. The majority of our clients choose bi-weekly (every 2 weeks), while some prefer weekly or monthly.
Are your cleaning products safe for pets and children?
All of our products are safe for residential use — including homes with pets and children.
Do I need to be home during the cleaning?
This is completely your decision. Most of our clients are home during the service as they work from home. If you are not home, we can coordinate the best way for entry.
Do you move any furniture or appliances?
Because of weight restrictions, we do not move furniture or appliances. We do shuffle dining room chairs.
How far in advance should we book?
This depends on a few factors such as required length of time, location, and the time of year. On average, we book about 1–2 weeks out. During our busy season, we are sometimes 3–6 weeks out depending on the amount of time needed for your project.
What should I do with my pets during the service?
For the safety of your pets and our teammates, we always advise keeping them in a separate room during the service.
How do I prepare for a service?
Every home and homeowner is unique. We provide a customized scope for your home. Some of our customers clear off all surfaces prior to our arrival and some do not. During our in-person walkthrough, we will establish a game plan. The only requirements we ask are a comfortable working temperature, electricity, and water.
What are some examples of items or services you do not offer?
As much as we want to say yes to all requests, there are some areas of the home where we cannot offer a professional level of service. We do not offer: wet carpet cleaning, grout, sealant, corrosion/rust removal, unfinished basements, unfinished attics, unfinished garages, and anything outside of the home.
What would make you stop a service?
We try our best to accommodate as much as possible, but here are some circumstances which will require us to stop our cleaning: pests (spiders, insects, rats, fleas, ticks, ants, etc.), mold, uncomfortable room temperatures, no electricity, and any sort of bodily fluids or feces.
